Fitwel recognizes honorees for their best-in-class innovations to promote occupant health and wellness through the built environment

We are pleased to announce that QuadReal has been recognized at Fitwel’s 2022 Best in Building Health Leadership Awards for our team’s dedication to enhancing human health through design. Created in partnership with the Centre for Disease Control and operated by the Center for Active Design, Fitwel® is a rigorous, third-party healthy building certification system that sets the industry standard for evidence-based strategies to promote health and wellness through the built environment.

We are continuing to put tenants and residents first through our partnership with the Center for Active Design on certification, education and research, and are thrilled for Fitwel to recognize our teams’ achievements in creating a healthy environment. This year, we have received the following recognitions:

• • Industry Thought Leadership Award
  • Fitwel Promise Award: Most Benchmarked Projects of All-Time
  • 2021 Highest Score: Commercial Site v2.1 (Built) for Southcore Financial Centre, Toronto, Canada
  • 2021 Highest Score: Commercial Site v2.1 (Design) for World Exchange Plaza, Ottawa, Canada

QuadReal received the Industry Leadership award at the 2020 awards and was recognized as the building owner with the greatest number of Fitwel registrations at the 2021 awards. Last year, we also partnered with Fitwel to become one of the first companies to certify their health and wellness policies using the Viral Response module.
