Tara Brockelmann (Rissanen) joined QuadReal in June 2017. As Senior Vice President, Retail Leasing, she oversees the leasing, design and merchandising strategy for Oakridge Park, the largest redevelopment project in Vancouver’s history. 

With close to 25 years of experience, Tara’s retail leasing background spans the full range of retail asset types, including mixed use, street, strip, power, community and regional shopping centres, with a strong focus on development projects.

Tara began her career in brokerage at CBRE, followed by six years at Westbank. In 2008, Tara joined Bentall Kennedy (now BentallGreenOak) and led leasing activities for BCI’s retail assets in Western Canada, with an emphasis on its development pipeline and enclosed shopping centre portfolios.

Tara is a retail marketing graduate of Capilano University and holds a diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Marketing Management and Real Estate. She is an active member of ICSC, CREW Vancouver and frequently volunteers at the Union Gospel Mission and Vancouver Food Bank.
