QuadReal successfully competed in the Calgary Corporate Challenge
QuadReal recently participated in the Calgary Corporate Challenge and had great results, finishing in 14th place out of 24 teams in our division. This annual challenge features over 10,000 participants from approximately 160 Calgary companies, coming together to take part in 16 days of Olympics-style events to benefit local charities. This year, 32 QuadReal colleagues competed in a variety of sports events over the course of 2 weeks, many competing in multiple events and many more volunteering their time to ensure the events ran smoothly.
Here is how our Calgary team made a difference to local charities:
- We held a book drive for Calgary Reads, collecting and donating 5 banker boxes filled to the brim of gently used books.
- We donated blood through the Canadian Blood Services (and even managed to get a number of people to donate blood for the very first time).
- We raised a total of $327.00 for Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS), which was enough to help 1 rescued dog and 1 rescued cat.
- We raised a total of $500.00 for KidSport Calgary, which was enough to fund 10 kids in community soccer.
At the closing ceremony, QuadReal was recognized for fundraising efforts with the highest donation amount in our division for AARCS.
This goes to show that everyone can play a part in helping to build and improve our communities.
