Jay Claggett joined QuadReal in April 2020. As Senior Vice President, Development, he is responsible for QuadReal’s development activities in Eastern Canada, with a focus on Assembly Park located in Vaughan and various development sites across Toronto.

Jay brings over 30 years of experience in urban planning and real estate. He was formerly a Senior Director and Partner at Arcadis IBI Group, where he was responsible for the urban planning practice across Canada and advised on projects in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Previously, Jay worked as a private planning consultant specializing in land development within the Greater Toronto Area.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Geography and Urban Development from Western University and a Master of Business from Athabasca University. He is a registered professional planner and is currently a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners, Ontario Professional Planners Institute, Urban Land Institute, Lambda Alpha International and BILD Association. Jay also served on the Canadian Forces Reserves for over 25 years and continues to contribute after retirement as Honorary Lieutenant Colonel and Chairman of the Governor General’s Horse Guards Foundation and Board of Trustees.
